Water Spreading Through Your Home?

What to do now

With active water, two clocks are running at once. One is how fast water is still arriving. The other is how long the materials it has already reached have been saturated — and that second clock keeps running even after the water stops.
Visible standing water is usually the smaller part of the problem. Removing it with a wet vacuum or a pump only takes the free water; what is held inside carpet pad, drywall, insulation, cabinet bases and the underside of flooring stays behind and has to be dried out deliberately.
